Our July 21st event was a cruise along the Lake Erie shoreline to the west from Cleveland. Here we arrive at Firelands Winery where we got a tour, a short video, and sampled six wines. This winery also makes champagne. All their wine is marked as "Estate Bottled" because all their grapes are grown on South Bass Island. This location has a longer growing season due to the warmer lake water which gives the wine special character. The weather was fantastic!
